The difference
A fourth grader may need composition books and dry-erase markers. A kindergartner may need crayons, glue sticks and child-safe scissors. Identical bags can miss what children actually need.
All About verifies each selected student’s official list, purchases essential supplies and packs the order individually.

How it works
A clear process designed to be fair to families, accountable to sponsors and respectful of every child.
A parent or guardian submits one application for each eligible child.
All About checks grade, NYC residency, financial need and duplicate entries.
If applications exceed capacity, eligible children are selected through a documented drawing.
Selected families provide the child’s official school or teacher supply list.
All About purchases reasonable equivalent items and checks each package individually.
Families pick up their child’s personalized package at the distribution event.
Who can apply
Up to 10 spaces are reserved for eligible students from MCNY School, our venue and community partner. MCNY families complete the same application and meet the same need and grade requirements.
If more than 10 qualify, selection is randomized. Unused MCNY spaces return to the community pool.
What we provide
We make every reasonable effort to complete the essential items on each verified list. Equivalent products may be substituted.

Crayons, markers and art supplies
Teacher-requested classroom items
Basic school-required headphones
Designer or character-specific upgrades, clothing, uniforms, electronics, tuition, school fees, cash, gift cards or reimbursements.
Applications
The first program goal is to serve at least 50 students. With additional sponsors, we can prepare more children for school.

Questions
No. Applications are reviewed for eligibility. If eligible applications exceed available spaces, recipients are selected through a documented random drawing and an ordered waitlist is created.
No. Because some schools release lists later, it is optional at initial registration. Selected families must provide a current official list by the deadline in their notice.
Yes. A household may apply for multiple eligible children, but no more than two children from one household may be selected so the program can reach more families.
Brands, characters, colors and styles are not guaranteed. All About may substitute an equivalent product with comparable function and reasonable quality.
No. Media participation is optional, requires a separate release and never affects eligibility or assistance.
